President Donald Trump called Democrats “demented and evil” for refusing to vote for a new law that would require voter IDs people to be able to register to vote.
“Our Country will never be the same if they allow these demented and evil people to knowingly, and happily, destroy it,” the president said in a post on Truth Social on Friday evening, referring to the SAVE America Act that the House passed earlier in the week.
Trump earlier declared he would implement a voter ID requirement for the upcoming midterm elections “whether approved by Congress or not” while simultaneously accusing Democrats of “cheat[ing]” at the ballot box.
“The Democrats refuse to vote for Voter I.D., or Citizenship. The reason is very simple — They want to continue to cheat in Elections,” the president posted on his Truth Social platform on Friday evening.
“This was not what our Founders desired. I have searched the depths of Legal Arguments not yet articulated or vetted on this subject, and will be presenting an irrefutable one in the very near future,” he went on. “There will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not!”
He claimed that the American public, in his view, are “insisting on Citizenship” and “No Mail-In Ballots” without providing evidence, noting that he believes exemptions should be granted for military personnel, individuals with disabilities, those who are sick or those who are away from home.
“Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP,” he concluded the post, reports the Express US.
In a separate extended tirade, Trump persisted in attacking Democrats, branding them “horrible, disingenuous CHEATERS” as he criticized multiple policy positions, ranging from voter identification to transgender rights. “We cannot let the Democrats get away with NO VOTER I.D. any longer,” Trump wrote.
“These are horrible, disingenuous CHEATERS. They have all sorts of reasons why it shouldn’t be passed, and then boldly laugh in the backrooms after their ridiculous presentations,” he added.
“If it weren’t such a serious matter, it would be considered a TOTAL JOKE! No Voter I.D. is even crazier, and more ridiculous, than Men playing in Women’s Sports, Open Borders, or Transgender for Everyone,” he continued. “Republicans must put this at the top of every speech — It is a CAN’T MISS FOR RE-ELECTION IN THE MIDTERMS, AND BEYOND!”
He proceeded to cite statistics about Democratic voters, claiming without providing a source that 85% support voter ID requirements, whilst attacking party leadership for being the “only” ones opposing the policy, which critics view as discriminatory and has historically prevented Black Americans and other minorities from casting ballots and exercising their constitutional rights.
“It’s only the Political ‘Leaders,’ Crooked Losers like Schumer and Jeffries, that have no shame, and explain why it’s ‘racist,’ and every other thing that they can think of,” Trump claimed, adding, “This is an issue that must be fought, and must be fought, NOW!”
The president then detailed strategies he believes would allow him to bypass Congress and mandate voter IDs at polling stations, even without congressional approval — something Democrats are unlikely to support. “If we can’t get it through Congress, there are Legal reasons why this SCAM is not permitted. I will be presenting them shortly, in the form of an Executive Order,” Trump penned.
“I hope the Supreme Court realizes, as they ‘painstakingly’ review the very simple topic of Country Saving Tariffs (Those same Tariffs that have been used, by other Countries, against the U.S.A. to drain it of its Treasure and Security – for many years! ), and all sorts of other things, that are making our Country Rich, Powerful, and Safe Again, that these Corrupt and Deranged Democrats, if they ever gain power, will not only be adding two States to our roster of 50, with all of the baggage thereto, but will also PACK THE COURT with a total of 21 Supreme Court Justices, THEIR DREAM, which they will submit easily and rapidly when they immediately move to terminate the Filibuster, probably in their first week, or sooner,” Trump vented.

House Republicans moved swiftly on Wednesday to pass legislation establishing stringent new proof-of-citizenship requirements ahead of the midterm elections, advancing a Trump administration priority that is expected to encounter significant opposition in the Senate.
The measure, titled the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility, or SAVE America Act, would mandate that Americans provide documentation verifying their citizenship during voter registration, primarily through a valid U.S. passport or birth certificate. Additionally, it would require valid photo identification at polling stations, a provision already in effect in certain states.
The bill passed largely along party lines, 218-213.
Republicans contend the legislation is necessary to combat voter fraud, whilst Democrats caution it will exclude millions of Americans by creating additional barriers to voting. Current federal law mandates that voters in national elections be U.S. citizens, though documentary evidence is not presently required.
Experts have noted that voter fraud is exceedingly uncommon, with very few noncitizens managing to register improperly. Less than 10% of Americans lack documentation establishing their citizenship.
