Randy Rainbow has never been shy about musical mockery, but his latest parody focuses sharply on First Lady Melania Trump, and he does it to the melody of a Taylor Swift hit.
In a newly released video titled “The Fate of Melania,” the comedian borrows Swift’s No. 1 single “The Fate of Ophelia,” from her album The Life of a Showgirl, and reworks it into a biting send-up of the First Lady. The clip dropped Thursday and quickly circulated online.

Rainbow usually aims his sharpest lyrics at President Donald Trump. This time, he focuses most of his criticism on Melania instead. The video opens with a staged mock interview featuring a fabricated version of the First Lady.
Moments later, Rainbow launches into the full parody, complete with choreography inspired by Swift’s music video, including the TikTok-viral moves fans have replicated across social media. The lyrics waste no time in delivering pointed jabs.
“As legend has it, you despise your husband. And sweetie pie, you’re not alone,” Rainbow sings. “Wish you would take a stand for us, but you’re a fairly flaccid FLOTUS.” The parody makes scathing remarks, some of which go against what the First Lady has publicly stated, including jokes referencing her denial of Botox use.
Rainbow continues: “His only loyalty is to he, himself and him, acting out his every whim. But girl, it’s fine, just get your nails and your hair done. It’s clear, you really don’t care.”
The parody lands amid ongoing public interest in Melania Trump’s documentary project. According to Variety, the film grossed $16.5 million at the box office after Amazon acquired it for $40 million and invested an additional $35 million in marketing.
Rainbow references the broader political landscape in his lyrics, framing the First Lady as a reluctant figure in a chaotic administration.
